Our mission

Noyemi is building the free, research-backed encyclopedia for supplements, vitamins, and natural remedies. Every claimed health benefit on this site links to published scientific studies so you can evaluate the evidence yourself.

Why we built this

The supplement industry generates over $50 billion a year, yet finding trustworthy, unbiased information about what actually works is surprisingly difficult. Most supplement websites either sell products (creating obvious conflicts of interest) or make sweeping health claims without citing evidence. We wanted something different — a place where every claim is tied to real research and presented without bias.

A librarian, not a doctor

Our editorial voice is intentionally measured. You will never see us say "take this supplement" or "this cures that." Instead, we say things like "research suggests magnesium may support blood pressure regulation — here are 14 studies." We organize and present the science. You and your healthcare provider make the decisions.

What we cover

Noyemi covers three areas: supplements and remedies (vitamins, minerals, herbs, amino acids, home remedies, probiotics, and functional foods), natural food sources (full nutritional profiles and "foods high in X" rankings using USDA data), and interaction and safety warnings (stacking effects, drug interactions, dose accumulation, and timing conflicts between supplements).

How we stay unbiased

Noyemi does not manufacture or sell supplements. Our revenue comes from affiliate links and display advertising, but our editorial content is produced independently — what we recommend is based on published research, third-party testing, and form/dose accuracy, never on commission rates. When we link to a product, we tell you, and we explain our editorial policy in full.

Our data sources

We build on public, government-funded databases: PubMed and PubMed Central for research studies, USDA FoodData Central for food nutrition data, NIH Office of Dietary Supplements for fact sheets, the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System for safety data, and ClinicalTrials.gov for ongoing research. You can read more about our process on the methodology page.

Open and free

All research summaries, evidence ratings, food nutrition data, and safety information on Noyemi are free to access with no paywalls. We believe health information built on publicly funded research should be available to everyone.
